1) Understand Your Target Market The basis of any marketing, with MLM marketing being NO EXCEPTION, is understanding who you’re marketing to.

The more able you are to get inside your target audiences mind and emotions, the more you’ll be able to pull them into your MLM marketing lead funnel, and then subsequently into your MLM downline.

So you have to know which hot buttons to hit with your prospects. You have to know what they want, what they’re striving for, and what they need. You want to know what they’re daily life looks like, what’s important to them (and why it’s important), and how you can leverage off that.

This doesn’t mean you have to be sneaky or deceptive either. But imagine you’re trying to talk your friend into going to your favorite restaurant that you love, but they’re just sort of …eh…about going.

Plus you’ll mention how friendly the wait staff is if you know that your friend has a pet peeve of nasty waiters and waitresses. Then you’ll throw in the clincher of how their pancakes were voted best in the state by so and so magazine. Yes, you know their weak spot, and so you went there. But it’s for their own good. LOL

Well your MLM marketing cannot be effective unless you know potential prospects through and through.

If you don’t know where your prospects are going to be, how in the world are you going to get your message in front of them? You’re not, so you need to find out where they hang out.

For MLM marketing, this usually means finding out what they read, what they watch, what radio stations they listen, or what websites that they frequent. Once you know this you can stick your message right in front of their face.

3) Learn to Write Persuasively Now this is critical. The best part however, when it comes to MLM marketing…well any marketing really…is that if you know the things above, then you know already how to persuade these people.

If you know that a great target for you and MLM company are busy mothers who don’t have time to work out and/or eat right because they’re always busy with the kids… then you can use that exact information to formulate your ads.

In the older days before the internet, most network marketers…including my wife Ann and I…focused on face to face marketing. That’s where the dreaded 3 foot rule got its name, because MLM Marketing companies would tell their distributors that anyone within 3 feet is a potential prospect for your business.

Though I wasn’t shy at all about face to face MLM marketing, I had a little more tact and strategy than a 3 foot rule.

These days one of the best ways to do a MLM marketing system is online… or at least of hybrid of offline marketing and online marketing. In other words, you get people offline coming online to see what you’re all about when necessary.

What Should Your MLM Marketing System Plan Look Like

With MLM marketing, there are few of things that need to be in place.

The way to do this right is to turn all of your mlm marketing into an automated system that collects leads from you night and day from all around the globe. Then, as you collect them they go into an email marketing system which contacts them over and over again through email, as well as contacting them by phone, and even through direct mail if you like.

The main part is that you have an MLM marketing system in place, and not just a sporadic marketing method. This means that you’ll need to learn a few things perhaps, but it’s well worth it in the end.

You’ll need to know how to either create, or have someone create a landing page for you to collect your lead information.
